I always try to buy “Locally” for supplies that pertain to my life and business.

I live in a small town with my wife and three teenage boys and the “Buy local” mentality was instilled in me by my mom & dad who were business owners in the very same town I am raising my boys in.

Everyday needed items we purchase such as food and gas are 100% local unless we are in another town eating out or on a vacation.

I have a strong sense of loyalty to Cadillac and it shows in every way possible.

Here’s my dilemma regarding business supplies:

I can go into town (I live in the country) and purchase my business supplies at Office Max, they’re friendly and very knowledgeable but the prices are definitely higher than what I can get from staples online.

Staples besides having better prices has always delivered the next day, I can’t really tell you if this is a service they guarantee I just know I place the order and it’s here the next day and it’s free if I purchase $50.00 or more…Nice.

For my eBay needs as far as boxes go I purchase from u-line and buy in bulk so even though they are a high cost as far as shipping it is a no brainer big time savings.

I do buy my office equipment through Office Max due to their knowledge and warranty. It’s no secret knowledge can be invaluable in person, try calling and getting someone who you can communicate with on a regular basis, it’s frustrating and very time consuming. With my Office Max in town I call or drop buy and they usually hook me up right then and there with a solution to my problem

This is just another step in realizing global competition is in the forefront and even little ole me can’t deny it.

Sometimes reality smacks me right upside the head even though I live and do business every day. I mean it’s a big world but with the Internet and worldwide competition wanting your business it’s easy to forget a community revolves around local people, local community and local services.

I need to compete as far as global business is concerned but I cannot forget where I come from and how my community needs and deserves my support and I owe them that support.

Last week was a tough one regarding my marking future, but very very successful.

As most already know I am a student of John Thornhill and am in the early stages of his Master Class.

One of the signs that can lead to failure or success at making money on the net is being focused. For the past two years or so I have made money but nothing permanent. I realize the biggest problem was me.

Sure I have made 200,300 even 800 dollars in a single month, but then it stopped, slowed way down or whatever happened and I would start looking for the next great idea.

John Thornhill, ever heard of him?

Google this guy, he’s real. He doesn’t hide behind dark glasses. He’s an Internet know how guy who has oodles of testimonies from people he has taught from all over the world. Heck he freely mentions his eBay ID and his products are great sellers and successes not just for him but for people who have bought them.

Many brag about how good they are at this or that, but few show you the ins and outs as John Thornhill does.

I put him on about the same level as Jim Cockrum.

I mean what makes a guy tick who wants nothing else but your last dollar and he doesn’t care how he gets it compared to someone who gives you his personal number for personal mentorship; says his class last x amount of time then helps you months past that?

I say its soul. I say it’s “Getting life”. Guys like John Thornhill and Jim Cockrum got this thing down pat. They live what they preach. Why did it take me so long to see it?…. Can you hear that? No bother, it’s just me kicking myself in the you-know-what!

When you run into people who truly live open and free from greed and the “I gotta get something from them” attitude they really do have a profound effect on you.

I believe we on the Internet who get bombarded with messages of fake get rich yesterday adverts and messages become so hardened when to many times they aren’t true – not the get rich today part, but the damn lie that these people push and you know never tried method or methods.

I have tasted success on the Internet. Never easy and definitely never constant. C’mon if you drive a truck and make a million a year and spout off how easy it is……. Your right, we’d all be doing it.

Driving a truck is hard work, we only see them behind the wheel. What about loading and unloading, poor drivers, bad weather and/or equipment they deal with. How bout long hours?… Kind a sounds like…work. So is making money on the net.

You can do it on your own and make it, just as many have like John Thornhill or you can struggle and never see the light, or you can make money like me but not enough and not constantly. I mean how can you live if you have no idea not only when your next check is coming but how much it’s gonna be?

I have chosen to listen to people with real world experience. People who are doing what works and genuinely like and want to help others succeed. You see, these people to me posses the greatest gift in the world and that is the gift of giving.

I’ve been dabbling in blogging/autoblogging and couldn’t seem to get comfortable.

I’m just not that technical with building websites and when looking at automated website builders – footprints were always in the back of my mind.

What’s a footprint? It’s like a Ford Taurus. Everything’s the same, kinda cookie cutter design.

Google footprint and you’ll see it’s a hot topic. I don’t really believe in the cookie cutter footprint.
